Sudan Closes Airspace due to Coup

Last Friday, 11 April, the Sudanese military staged a coup, and removed 27-year leader Omar al-Bashir.
So what? you may think, except if you look at a map and remember that Libya to the northwest is already closed to overflight and landings by most of the worlds governing aviation authorities, and you can see Sudan's closure cuts off access to most of East Africa. Gen Burhan, the current military leader, seems keen to restore order, and has already re-opened Sudan's airspace, but the next couple of weeks will show how stable the new government is.
